Syd and Hank are patrolling the grounds. Brandon and Debbie's property is outstanding. Any time of the day you can look outside and see a few deer snacking away in the yard. This one marched right up to fence line to take on the dogs. (Apparently this is the norm. Debbie spotted a spooked Border Collie tearing down their drive with 2 deer in hot pursuit. Deb opened the gate to the yard and the poor pup sought refuge immediately.) Happily, the deer were not interested in chasing babies. At any rate, the sounds and sight of nature at their place is very cool. It's a far cry from the 1 hawk, 1 owl, 4 million rabbits and scores of honking horns near our house.
